carpet not clean the early breakfast is ridiculous car park you have to pay even you are staying at the hotel
- the dirty carpet and paint - the price of the parking - the early breackfast ....
close to airport and Oslo, clean rooms
this "budget" is very expensive,
Large and comfortable room, nice breakfast and fairly cheap prices
Convenient vis-a-vis airport. Shuttlebus from door to door. Friendly and efficient staff. Good room/bath/shower. Inexpensive. Excellent restaurant within 500/600 m (Thon Conference Hotel).
Nice budget hotel near the airport. Special nice for 1 night stay if you are coming late or departing early the day after.
The shuttle bus has a cost (specified in the description). We came late and there was no shuttle service so we had to find a taxi that also had babyseat. There is no information available!
Airport shuttle, wireless internet in all rooms
Charging for airport shuttle
Its a no-frills, comfortable and clean hotel. Good Breakfast spread. Very conveniently located near the airport with a very good shuttle service. Can't ask for much more when you need to spend just 1 night and have to get to th airport for a flight or a business meeting.
No Restaurant and Peppe's Pizza is a rip-off !! And doesn't taste good either. If you're checking-in late in the night and hungry, expect to be seriously disappointed!
I can only recommend this hotel, the price was very good, it's really near the airport and for a business trip perfect: check in late in the night , emails check before going to bed with wifi connection, 1 hour work in the morning before breakfast, breakfast and shuttle to the airport). I'm often in Norway, Oslo area, if you have a plane early in the morning, for 590 NOK it's a perfect solution.
Building and design most impressive. Convenient for the airport
For a budget hotel to add charges for parking and watching even basic television channels was unexpected. The first time I have encountered this in my travels in Europe and the usa. Is Thon trying to recoup cash saved on accommodation by other means? Reception in the evening was poor: I could not understand exactly what the receptionist was saying; she was quite abrupt and for a newcomer to Norway was not forthcoming in advice about how to work the parking machines. Male receptionist in the morning was far more affable and sympathetic. Parking payment machines - instructions all in Norwegian: for foreign visitors arriving tired in the evening who have not encountered this type of machine before, this is a strain they can do without. Made the start of the stay seem unwelcoming.
Wifi worked well.
There were three huge flies in the room and I could not sleep at all. The room was dusty at the corner and very cold. Since I could not control my room's temperature, I felt freezing all night. I got a really bad cold. As other guests already said, there are no restaurants in and around the hotel. I think it is worth paying more money and stay at the better hotel. If you go to breakfast after 7:00 some item (such as fruits) were not available. The airport shuttle costs 140NOK, which is really expensive for an airport" hotel.
No refrigerator in our room Very small variety at breakfast
Nothing, my room was freezing and did not sleep.con
It's nice that the hotel included breakfast, incase of bad weather, you had breakfast in the morning,( there is only Mc donald and gas station like 10 min. away. I liked free coffe and hot water all hotel guests. Its a great price for a hotel that included wifi, breakfast. I thought the breakfast was awesome, for an expensive place like Norway. For those guest that don't like the breakfast, I think they are coming from the US and UK, because it did not provide sausage, bacon, omlette. but as a scandanavian country, the hotel provides a very good breakfast. Do be such high maintainance for such a cheap room.
I just wish there was a cheaper way to get to the city or airport. really expensive oneway 70kr just from hotel to airport, it would be nice if it was a oneday pass. I was also charged 25 kr for a toothbrush/mini toothpaste, the kind that most hotels give for free. I only needed toothpaste but they only sold that, but you could go to the gas station and get a big toothpaste for 42kr. , which I didn't know until later.
